Many moons ago, we went looking for a website that had resources for us - women and (eh hem) low budget travelers - because, let's face it, we come with a unique set of needs. Instead, we found a lot of site for fabulous trips for women and exotic trips for women and cruises for women and tours for women. 

Sadly, that wasn't a question. But we will answer it anyway. We try to make it clear throughout the site that this is just a helpful GUIDE. It's a collaboration of facts and experiences from GWT women. We can't possibly check each thing and ensure that everything is accurate. We're here to give you the tools to prepare for your trip, but in the end you are ultimately responsible for your travel plans, your safety and your experience (yes, that's a legally binding statement we're making here. Girls Who Travel is not responsible for your trip or the result of you following the information on this site) (sorry we had to get serious there for a moment). More than anything, we want to give women the power to know how to travel well - and the first step is doing your own research, making your own connections and being prepared. We're just one part of the process.
